In the meantime, we were able to extensively test both versions of the covers.
The second test with Lyocell felt like it still absorbs and retains more heat. Therefore, we reattached the spacer cover and found once again that this construction captures less heat and likely provides good ventilation. This seems logical as PES will absorb less than Lyocell, and the structure of the spacer textile will create more airflow.
