Auping presents the mattress factory of the future!
The same raw materials can be reused eight to ten times to produce a comfortable circular mattress, without compromising on quality and sleeping comfort, according to Auping.
Auping, a pioneer in the field of circularity
After the introduction of Auping's first fully circular mattress in 2020, the company is now taking the next step with a new factory in Deventer. In this factory, exclusively circular mattresses are produced or reworked through an optimized and sustainable process.
Because, at the end of their lifespan, Auping's circular mattresses do not end up in the waste heap; instead, they return to the factory. The steel and polyester, which make up the mattress 100%, are carefully separated and recycled, to be used again in the production of new mattresses. This unique process is a dream come true for Auping, and they also hope to inspire others to become more sustainable.
