Fylds' uses 3 types of springs for your mattress

The Fylds’ beds are all made by hand in the company’s own workshops. Machines are only used to support the craftsmanship and to improve the quality where possible.

Fylds' master bed makers succeeded in developing a unique mattress core with progressively increasing resistance based on 3 types of pocket springs:

  • The upper HD pocket springs for soft contact and maximum connection to your body
  • Slightly wider and higher 'Posturfil' springs forming the support layer
  • Tall ‘High touch’ pocket springs that form the base layer and consist of 7 comfort zones

Fylds' uses 4 types of wool for a cool and enjoyable sleep

Fylds' combines the extra moisture-regulating effect and natural strength of flax with the natural properties of wool from 4 sheep breeds. This combination ensures that your bed is warm in winter and fresh in summer.

  • Merino sheep: this wool has a very fine structure that does not tickle.
  • Texel sheep: the pure, long-fibre virgin wool has a beneficial effect on rheumatism, muscle or joint pain.
  • Zwartbles and Swifter sheep: this stiffer wool is the ideal natural pressure diffuser. This layer seamlessly transfers the contours of your body to the pocket springs.

Fylds' pocket spring mattress 

The ideal pre-tensioning and characteristic appearance of the Fylds' mattress is obtained by pulling the two cover layers towards each other just enough at a fixed number of points. Fylds' chooses internal tufting to achieve this. This manual process takes an experienced craftsman up to 3 hours per mattress.

Easy operation of your Fylds' box spring

The Fylds' box spring is available in a flat or electrically adjustable version. For the electric version you can choose:

  • 2 motors: back and foot end
  • 3 motors: head, back and foot end
  • 4 motors: head, back, thighs and calves

Fylds' box spring on legs or castors

You can choose between 2 variants for your box spring:

  • High Base (36 cm high): seems to float above the floor because of the 4 High Base castors.
  • Medium Base (29 cm high): stands gracefully on four legs that are 10 cm high
